Chapter 1: Tsunami’s Dreams and Marianna’s Light Hawk Wings

“Marianna, Marianna?” a voice called out to me. I turned around and saw a beautiful woman. “Who is calling me?” I asked. The woman smiled. I studied her closely. “Who are you?” I asked. The woman studied closely as well. “I am your guardian,” the woman said. “You look like Sasami,” I said. “I am part of Sasami,” the Lady said. I perked up I realized who the mysterious lady was. “You must be Lady Tsunami,” I said. Tsunami nodded and I went to my knees. She put her hand on my cheek. “Young one you are worthy enough to carry something dear to me. Listen here is a purple box in it is something very special. Beware do not open it until it is needed,” Tsunami said. I looked at the box. “Lady Tsunami how am I supposed to know when I nee it when I don’t even know what is in it?” I asked. Tsunami smiled. “Your heart will tell you when the time is right,” Tsunami said. Then she held up her hand the there was a flash of light. She knelt down for her face to mine. “Marianna this is the button you will need to attach to your sword. It is the generator to the Light Hawk Wings, by my power it will protect you in your time of need. Promise me that you will attach it on to your sword and do not open the box until you need it,” Tsunami said and I nodded. Then with a light blue burst of light then Lady Tsunami disappeared. ‘Oh,“ I said then I awoke. I saw Tenchi, he had not yet awaken so I did not awake him. I smiled for I saw him smiling in his sleep. I got dressed in my light purple kimono. I went out side. It was amazing how much I have grown since I came here in years, maturely and more loving of my new family Tenchi, Yosho, my uncle, and all the girls. I shook my head to fluff out my hair. It was much longer than it had originally been. I knelt down by the lake dock to think. I smiled to see the pretty fish swim. Then I decided to go to the shrine to see if Yosho was awake. ”Grandpa, Grandpa? Where are you?“ I said. I looked in his bed but he was not there. Then something told me to turn around with my sword. Sure enough out jumped Grandpa and we began to fight. I caught his sword. ”That’s enough Grandpa, Ha!“ I said as he tried to hit my neck with another stick. ”Your senses are wonderful Marianna continue to sharpen them and you’ll be as good as your grandmother,“ he said smiling. Then I smiled and grandpa walked away. Then he turned back around then I drew my sword and he smiled. He walked out to the house and I walked behind him. As we drew near the house I heard some shouts. ”He is mine come sit here Tenchi,“ said Ryoko. ”No come here Tenchi!“ Ayeka cried. Then I walked in. I sat down. ”No Tenchi come sit here“ I said. Tenchi smiled and sat by me. Ayeka and Ryoko gritted their teeth, ”Marianna!“ they gritted. I just laughed. Sasami had made a special tofu dish. After breakfast. I walked out side. I walked past the lake and the dock. I went to the dock sitting down I put my feet into the water. I reached in my pocket and found the original orange rose. I smiled and felt a hard thing. I pulled it out. It was the generator of the Light Hawk Wings given to me by Tsunami! ”So It wasn’t just a dream, it was real, the box, the Light Hawk Wings, and Tsunami! Then the gift it must be real too,“ I said. I reached in and pulled out the box, I began to open it then I remembered the promise I made to Tsunami. So I stopped myself. ”What was it?“ I wondered. I knew the only persons I could talk to about this sort of thing were Tenchi, Ayeka and Yosho, no one else. I decided to not talk to them about this now. That night I had another dream about Tsunami. ”Good Marianna, you kept your promise. Now I am afraid I ,must ask back the box,“ Tsunami said. I was shocked. This was defiantly not like Tsunami!

”No how do I know that you are Tsunami? If you are I am brave enough to take care of this and the princesses as I have promised twice in my life now I must carry on that promise!“ I cried. Then there was a flash of light.

”Well done Marianna you have passed the test,“ Tsunami said. I smiled as my eyes began to shine. ”Marianna there will be people who will come trying to get the gift. They will take my form. Your heart will tell you if it is me or not. Be good, Marianna I’ll see you next time,” she said. Then there was a blue flash of light then Tsunami vanished and I awoke. The box was still there so was my light hawk sword with the generator attached to it. I looked at it for a while and then I walked out in my light turquoise kimono. It was one that Ayeka gave me last Christmas. It had a pocket on it’s bottom right part, the ribbon was dark pink. Then suddenly as I was walking past the lake out jumped a monster! It was a horrible site. I knew I had to transform. “Warrior Cosmic Make-Up!” I cried. Then purple swirls swirled around me and I transformed. I faced the monster. “Hey how dare you try to ruin the peace at this shrine! By the power of Love, I must defeat you!” I cried. The monster turned to me. “Pretty Warrior!” cried a voice. I turned. It was Tenchi! “Tenchi stand back! He is very dangerous,” I cried. It was no use the monster had seen him and was racing toward him. I screamed. “No I am the Pretty Warrior you can’t hurt the one I love!” I screamed. The monster turned around. “You’d give anything so he would be safe wouldn’t you?” he said. I nodded. Pretty Warrior or not, he was Tenchi my life long love! I grabbed my sword. The monster blew me with his breath. I was down, the monster loomed above me. He shot a big blast at me. Tenchi screamed. I thought I was dead. Then three gigantic wings were in front of me. Ayeka came running out. She screamed. “It is the wings of the Light Hawk!!!!!! Marianna use the wings!” she cried. “Gotcha!” I said. I grabbed my sword and placed it in the wings. Then my sword flashed. The monster screamed and disappeared. I looked at my sword. The Light Hawk Wings? I looked at Ayeka. “Ayeka……Light Hawk Wings?” I asked. Tenchi came forward. He took my sword and looked at the generator. Then I fainted. When I awoke, I was in my room. Ayeka, Tenchi, Ryoko, Washu and Yosho were there. Yosho came and sat on my bed with me. “Marianna did you really create the Light Hawk Wings?” he asked. I nodded my head. “Tsunami came to me in a dream and gave me this,” I said. I took the generator and gave it to Grandpa. “Marianna this does not generate the Light Hawk Wings. This draws energy from you to activate it,” he explained. “So Marianna can create Light Hawk Wings and a sword?” Ryoko asked Washu. “It seems that way,” her mother said. Ayeka looked at me. She took Tenchi out of the room. “Tenchi this is bad news, for now Marianna’s life is in more danger than if she was just plain Pretty Warrior. Also if she is the One she will be the target for many enemies,” she said. “Ayeka what do you mean?” Tenchi asked. Ayeka leant forward and whispered something into Tenchi’s ear. Tenchi looked at her with a with a confused expression. “I’ll tell you later, I must speak with Marianna,” Ayeka said. She went back into the room. Ryoko was talking to me. “Marianna don’t worry you’ll be fine,” Ryoko assured me. Then she, Washu and Grandpa left. “Marianna I need to talk to you,” Ayeka told me. She sat down and looked at me in a worried way. “Marianna when Tsunami made Jurai she gave power to the royal family. You know that, but what you do not know is that Tsunami also made Royal gems. These gems are placed inside all those with power in the Jurai royal family. So you, Tenchi, Sasami, Yosho and I have them. But, Tsunami made an extra special one, that one is called The Heart of Jurai. You see in it is all the power that the Jurai royal family have and will possess. Plus the power of the Tsunami space ship and the person’s power. That would make the person not as strong as Tsunami but almost as strong and powerful no one knows who has the stone in it,” Ayeka explained. I stared at her in wonder. “Wow Ayeka is it true? What does it look like?” I asked. “Well Marianna it is a amethyst shaped like a heart,” Ayeka answered. “So no one knows who has it? Not even a clue?” I asked. “Well, there was a rhyme given to Jurai King the first. The rhyme goes something like this ‘Princess yet a warrior protected by love. Maiden with a beautiful heart and dream. This is the one who shall hold The Heart of Jurai’ so you see no one in the royal family fits this description except you and your grandmother. Your grandmother is dead, so you…”Ayeka explained. I backed up toward the wall. Shaking my head. I ran out to the garden and began crying. “No it can’t be true!” I cried.

Sorry to leave you in a lurch like that! Well the next part goes to the next chapter. The next chapter is called “The Keeper of the Heart of Jurai.” In it is the answers to the big question. Who is the Keeper of the Heart of Jurai?
