Date: Monday, July 15, 2002 5:30 PM Meanwhile, somewhere in the beach, KenOhki and RyoOhki were having a date. Too bad nobody told them YuOhki's come back. The moment KenOhki went to do some business in a bush, YuOhki came, and tried to sweep RyoOhki off her feet. (For those of you who don't speak cabbit, the following bits of dialogue will be translated into English.) YuOhki: Mya mya meow. Meow meow? (Hey, RyoOhki. It's me. Want to have some fun?) RyoOhki: (looks the other way) MEOW! Meow meow! Mya mya meow! (YuOhki! I don't like you, anymore! So, get lost!) YuOhki: Mya meow? Meow meow meow? Mya meow? (But why? Is it my breath? Or something I ate?) RyoOhki: MEOW meow meow! Mya mya mya reow! Mya mya mya meow! (You know why, you RAT!! You tried to hurt my friends! KenOhki would NEVER do that!) Fortunately, KenOhki got back from his bit of business, and was on hand to beat some sense into his cousin. YuOhki: Mya meow...meow meow meow, meow? (Aw, come on...KenOhki isn't here, is he?) KenOhki: Mya meow! (Wrong again!) YuOhki: Uh oh...(doesn't need translation) And so, the two boy cabbits fought for RyoOhki's honor. Needless to say, KenOhki was the winner. KenOhki: Mya meow meow?! MEOW! Mya meow meow meow? (You never learn, do you, YuOhki?! Now SCRAM! Or do I have to knock some MORE sense into you?) YuOhki: (shakes his head) Mya meow! Meow meow meow...(No...don't do that! I get the point. I'll be going, now...) Meow meow. (See ya.) And so, defeated once again, YuOhki changed into a spaceship and flew off, leaving RyoOhki and KenOhki free on their date. Meanwhile, back at the Masaki household, it was Achika's turn to sing. Tenchi was barely utter out that it was his mother's turn to sing. Tenchi: And now...and...now...well...it's...it's my mother's turn...to....s...s...sing. Achika: Thank you, Tenchi. (gets onstage) And now, I would like to sing Forevermore. This is the song I've dedicated to those I care about very deeply. (smiles) And, as the music began, Achika sang Forevermore. When it was almost time for the first instrumental break, she went up and kissed her husband on the lips, briefly. Achika: Feel the wind...feel the sun, and our new day in paradise has only begun...on the sand...by the sea, it's a peaceful oasis, made for you and for me, take my hand...this place was always 'waitin, this beauty all around us, the air 'intoxicatin, just like the love that found us...let's forget who we've been, and give into the dream, maybe life is a song, that's how it seems...and forevermore we'll hear the music play, yes forevermore I'll take your arms this way...and forevermore we'll know the melody...(goes to Noboyuki)...we will sing forevermore just like the peaceful sea. (kisses him) As the instrumental break began, Noboyuki blushed just as brightly as he did when he was a high school student. Then, as Achika went back upstage, he couldn't help but watch his wife sing. Achika: Past the clouds...past the sky, we can only imagine what great mysteries lie, other moons...other stars...close your eyes and together we'll go wandering far, take my hand...this miracle's 'undyin, it never will forsake us, we'll always keep on 'flyin, wherever love may take us...let's forget who we've been, and give into the dream, maybe life is a song, that's how it seems...and forevermore we'll hear the music play, yes forevermore I'll take you in my arms this way, and forevermore we'll know the melody...we will sing forevermore just like the peaceful sea. As the song ended, Achika got an 80. One of the highest scores yet. Noboyuki was crying, but was happy. Noboyuki: (goes to Achika, as she exits the stage) Thanks, Achika. You've made this an unforgettable week for me. (holds her, as he cries) I'll miss you. Achika: I'll miss you, too, Noboyuki. (kisses Noboyuki again) I love you. Noboyuki: (glasses get steamed up) I love you, too. Tenchi had finally got back his composure, and was able to introduce Yugi...barely. Tenchi: (to himself) Wow! After all this time, it's nice to see mother again. I wonder...what will happen if I have the chance to see her, when she and dad get together? I know one thing...I won't let someone like Kain get in the way. (is poked slightly by Yugi) Yes? Yugi: Tenchi...I believe it's my turn, now. Can you introduce me, please? Tenchi: Sure, Yugi. No problem. (goes to the mircophone) Wa...wasn't my mother's performance exciting, or what? And now, it's Yugi's turn to sing. Let's give her a big hand, people. As the audience cheered on, Yugi began to sing Dimension of Love. She needed Mihoshi and Kiyone as backup singers, so they went onstage, as well. Ryoko: Unbelievable. I guess the final part of the our challenge is next, eh Sakuya? Sakuya: Yeah. I guess it is. I got butterflies in my stomach, though. I'm a bit uneasy. Ayeka: It's okay. You can do it. May the best woman win. (shakes Sakuya's hand) Sakuya: Thanks, Ayeka. You're great. I think that star painted on your cheek looks cute. Ayeka: Merci Beaucoup, ma bonne amie! (does the V for Victory symbol) Sasami: French again?? Finally, it was time for Tenchi to announce Sakuya's turn onstage. Tenchi: And now, it's time for the final part of the first challenge! Here comes Sakuya Kumashiro! If she bags the high score here, she will be the winner of the first challenge, and she'll be the one who will go on a date, with me! Now, let's hear it for Sakuya! As the crowd once again cheered, Sakuya went up onstage. Fighting away her stage fright, she began to sing Talent for Love. Sakuya: Thank you. I hope I give you all a good performance. Now, let's HIT IT! The music began, and Sakuya started to sing. Like Yugi, she need Mihoshi and Kiyone as backup singers. Sakuya: Life is so full of hurry and hustle, sometime I think it's 'passin us by, the days are like hours, hours like minutes, I'm caught...in it till I look in your eyes, and...to my surprise, I find there is a Heaven...timeless and real, making me feel... When the guitar solo began, Ryoko couldn't resist the chance to play along with it, and did her own guitar solo onstage. Ayeka felt Ryoko was trying to win additional points by doing that guitar solo. Sakuya shrugged, and then she, Mihoshi and Kiyone finished the song. Ayeka: (puts her hand on her face) Oh, brother...she's trying to gain extra points for that performance. Still...I have to admit, she's pretty good on that guitar. Who knows what'll happen next? Sakuya: (shrugs, and thinks to herself) Whoa! She's good! Well, there's my cue. MihoKiyoSakuya: You touch me, you kiss me... Sakuya: And time has no meaning... MihoKiyoSakuya: I'm on a rocket... Sakuya: To some other zone... MihoKiyoSakuya: Baby, you thrill me... Sakuya: Whatever you're 'doin... MihoKiyoSakuya: Don't think you'll stop me... As the music ended, Ryoko begged Tenchi to give her some extra points. Sakuya and Ayeka agreed, entirely. Ryoko: Tenchi, can you please give me some extra points for my performance on the guitar? Tenchi: Well, I don't know...you did kinda jump in, unexpectedly... Sakuya: Aw, come on, Tenchi. She deserves some extra points. Ayeka: I agree. Her performance on that guitar was interstellar. Tenchi: Well...in that case...I'll give Ryoko an additional 15 points. Which means Ryoko and Ayeka get a 70, overall. Ryoko: Thank you! (hugs him) Tenchi, you are SO SWEET! Tenchi: Uuuhhh...thanks. Sakuya: What's my score? Tenchi: It's coming up...it's...(sees the score come up)...87! Sakuya: YAY! (jumps with glee) I get to have a date with Tenchi! Ryoko: Well, the best woman won, Sakuya. (shakes her hand) Congratulations. Sakuya: Thanks. Better luck next time, Ryoko. Ryoko: I know. (looks at Nagi) Well...it's time to meet the reaper. It's Nagi's turn to sing. Who knows? She just might win. Nagi: We'll find out, soon enough. (walks upstage) Time for me to take the floor. Ryoko: Right. Good luck, Nagi. You'll need it. Nagi: Thanks. I beat your duplicate, and now I shall beat you. Ryoko: She was just being gracious, since she knew what I knew. Kiyoko was more important than some petty squabble. Nagi: You're right about that. Now, let's do it. Tenchi: Well now, it's time for the out-singing competition! Winner gets 2500 yen from the loser! Now, let's hear it for NAGI!! As the crowd cheered on, Nagi throws off her cloak and leotard, revealing the flashiest party dress anyone would wear. It was almost as it had reflective surfaces on it...it shined in the sunlight. Ryoko was impressed. Ryoko: (looks at Nagi, and thinks to herself) Whoa...when Nagi participates in a competition, she doesn't hold ANYTHING Back. Nagi: Alright, for the finale, I will sing Manatsu no Eve! (looks at Ryoko) Now...we'll see who the better singer is, Ryoko. (looks at Azaka and Kamadake) HIT IT!! As the music began, Nagi sang with one of the most beautiful singing voices of all...much to Ryoko's distress. Nagi: Himawari no narabu...sakamichi, kyou wa otagi, gyaku nu aruiteku, kodomotachi no koe no...suki mani, anata wo semeta, jibun ga kanshii...tamerai mo naku...hajimatta koi...natsu ga owareba...betsu betsu ni ikiteku...sayonara wa mou...iranai...fuyu o matenai kara, futari dake no Christmas eve...atsui hizashi ga...illumination...kurushii ai ni...kawattemo ii...dakishimete... Ryoko: (thinks to herself) Uh oh...there goes 2500 yen down the toilet. (imagines her money going down a toilet, and into Nagi's hands) Nagi: Nemurazu katatta, umibete...haretame otagai, yubisashi waratta...futari no asa wo...mukaeru tabi ni...hitori no heya ga...kowakunatteta...sayonara wa mou iranai...yakusou no eve wo...koko de ima kangete....tameiki no kisu wa...celebration...egao no naka na...na itami no imi no...dakishmete...(waits for the short instrumental break to end)...Zutto kono mama de itai yo...ienai kimochi...kowarenu yo ni...dakishimete...manatsu no eve...wasurenai...anata ko koto...wasurenai...futari no eve...wasurenai...anata no koto...wasurenai...manatsu no eve...wasurenai...(music ends) Ryoko couldn't help but weep as she looked at Nagi's score. Ryoko: (looks at Nagi's score, and is shocked) WHAT THE HECK?! 94?!?!?! (looks down, with tears hanging from her eyes) Oh no...I lost. Nagi: (smirks) Don't take it so hard, Ryoko. After all...you lost to your two most worthy opponents. One who's your arch rival in battle...and one who's your rival in love. Sakuya: She's right, Ryoko. You gotta take the good, with the bad. You can't win them all...that's what you taught that evening, when you dragged Tenchi into a date. (looks down for a few seconds) Back then, I was a bit jealous, and ashamed. But you guys, my sister and my father changed all that. I'm proud to be a part of this family. Ryoko: (smiles) You're absolutely right, Sakuya. Why should I be disappointed? There's always next time. Nagi: That's right. After all, you said it yourself...next time, you could be helping ME up. (looks around) Wonder when those cabbits of ours are coming back? Ryoko: Soon, most likely. You know they love each other. Nagi: Yep. They sure do. (looks at Tenchi) Looks like the awards ceremony is about to start. I'll probably be called onstage. Ryoko: Go on, then. It's your moment. Nagi: Right. And so, Tenchi announced the three...or rather four winners of the three parts of the duel. Tenchi: Alright, everybody, we have the results of the contest, right here. The first prize, is me, of course. I'm going on a date witth Sakuya Kumashiro. Sakuya: (steps up) You're so silly, Tenchi. (kisses him on the cheek) Tenchi: (blushes) Uuuhhhh...regains composure) The second prize is for best of show. Since both Yugi and my mother got the same score, I give them two prizes. one for each of them. (hands trophies to Yugi and Achika) Achika: Oh...thank you, Tenchi. I knew I'd do okay. Yugi: Same here. (smiles at Achika) It was an honor, and a privilege to tie with you, Lady Achika. Achika: Why, thank you. Tenchi then announced Nagi's prize, which Ryoko was willing to provide. Tenchi: And, finally the out-singing award, and 2500 yen go to Nagi, did quite well in this duel. Congratulations. Nagi: (steps up) Thank you. (looks at Ryoko) Ryoko, if you will? Ryoko: Right. (teleports to the stage, and hands Nagi 2500 yen) There. You deserve it. Nagi: Thanks. I have a feeling...it's time to say goodbye to Lady Achika. Nagi was right. The time had come. Achika was beginning to disappear. It was time to say goodbye. Tenchi: Well...I guess...this is goodbye. (hugs his mother, who's begun to disappear) Achika: I know, Tenchi. I've had a wonderful week, here. All of you have made it a week I will never forget. Noboyuki stepped out of his chair, and kissed Achika one last time...it lasted for two minutes. Noboyuki: Well, I guess this is it. I'll sure miss you. Achika: I'll miss you, too, Noboyuki. (kisses him) Ryoko: Take care, Lady. Achika: Ayeka...before I go, I would like you to have this. (hands her a seed) I found this, when I deflected the Souja's blast. Ayeka gasped, and rejoiced, for the seed belonged to RyuOh. Ayeka: OH! It's RyuOh! I thought I'd never see it again. Now, RyuOh can be resurrected! Thank you, Lady Achika! Thanks for helping me out. Achika: It was the least I could do. After all, you did the same thing for me. Ayeka: I did? When? Achika: You'll see. Achika turned to Tenchi and told him to come home at 6pm, so he could show everyone home movies about her. Achika: Tenchi...could you and Sakuya come back by 6pm, this evening? I want you to show them Noboyuki's old home movies of me. Tenchi: Sure. But why? Achika: Think of it as a good way to remember me. (winks) Tenchi realized what was going on, as Sakuya agreed to Achika's terms. Tenchi: (thinks to himself) Wait a second...if mother wants me to show home movies to everyone at six, then that means...OF COURSE! A week has passed. (looks grim as he thinks) Kain's going to escape...and soon. I guess...she wants us back by six so we can be ready. (looks determined) Don't worry, mother. We won't let you down. Sakuya: I know we won't, Tenchi. (looks at Achika) We'll be back by 6pm. No need to worry about us. By that time, RyoOhki and KenOhki came back from their little adventure. They were just in time to say goodbye to Achika. RyoOhki: Meow meow. (Goodbye, Lady Achika) KenOhki: Meow. (We'll miss you.) Achika: (pets them both) I'll miss you guys, too. Ayeka: Farewell, Lady Achika. Kiyone: We had a lot of fun, together. Mihoshi: Yeah. I loved being a backup singer. Sakuya: We'll always remember you. Yugi: Thanks for the help against Kagato. Washuu: We'll see you around. Achika: Thank you, all. I'll never forget you. Just before she vanished, Achika gave her son, her father and husband a fond farewell. Achika: Goodbye, father. Thanks for helping out in Kiyoko's wedding. Katzuhito: You're welcome. Achika: Noboyuki, you will always be in my heart. Noboyuki: And you'll always be in mine. Achika: It was good to see you again. Now, goodbye...my son Tenchi. Tenchi: Goodbye, mother. And so, with that final goodbye, Achika vanished entirely, and had returned to Heaven, and saw Kiyoko there. Both of them were glad they spent time with the ones they loved. But, they both knew that this was the calm before the storm...a storm...known as Kain. Kiyoko: (sees Achika arrive) Lady Achika! (hugs Achika) You made it! I want to thank you for helping with my wedding. Achika: It was nothing. But now...(looks down at the Earth, and the Masaki household) Now...the nightmare begins. I hope Tenchi will survive an encounter with Kain...at his full power. Kiyoko: Don't worry, Lady Achika. I know he will. Achika: You're right. (smiles) Good luck, my son. Back on Earth, it was finally time to say goodbye to Nagi and KenOhki. RyoOhki was the first to say goodbye. RyoOhki: Meow meow meow. (Goodbye, KenOhki. See you again, soon.) KenOhki: Meow meow. (Don't worry. You'll see me again...and soon. I promise. Remember to give YuOhki a good one, for me...if he dares to come back.) RyoOhki: (has hearts in her eyes) Mya meow meow. Meow. (I sure will. Goodbye.) KenOhki: Meow meow. (See you later.) Ryoko: (shakes hands with Nagi) Well, it was good to see you again. You even managed to beat me...twice. Nagi: No problem, Ryoko. Take good care of yourself. Ryoko: I will. Ayeka: Well, I guess we'll see you again, sometime. Nagi: Yeah. Thanks for the help, back in the Reverse World. I couldn't have done it without you, Kiyone OR Mihoshi. Mihoshi: It was the least we could do. Kiyone: We had a debt of honor to fulfill. Nagi: (smiles) You're right about that. (looks at everyone else) As for you, Washuu, Yugi, Sakuya, Tenchi, Katzuhito and Noboyuki, I'll be dropping in again, when you least expect it. But, probably not until a month or so, from now. Tenchi: Thanks. Sakuya: You're way cool. Yugi: That's for sure. Katzuhito. Thank you for the help. Noboyuki: Goodbye, Nagi. Nagi: See you all, later. (looks at KenOhki) Now, KenOhki! KenOhki: MMEEEOOOWRRR! (changes into a spaceship) At Nagi's command, KenOhki transformed into a ship, and beamed Nagi aboard. After saying goodbye to her, it was time for Kiyone and Mihoshi's patrol...and for Tenchi's date with Sakuya. Kiyone: Well, we'd better start out patrol, Mihoshi. Mihoshi: Right, partner. We'd better see if that nasty Kain does come to Earth, like everybody thinks he will. Kiyone: If he does, we have to be ready. Kiyone: (uses the control cube to teleport herself and Mihoshi to Yagami) See you guys later. Tenchi: Thanks. Ryoko: Well, Tenchi...you and Sakuya better get going. Don't forget to come back at 6, ok? I wanna see what Achika's like as a teen, ok? Tenchi: I won't forget. Sakuya and I have at least three hours for us to enjoy ourselves. We'll come back, soon. Ayeka: Thanks. Take care, you two. Sakuya: See you guys later. Tenchi Family: BYE! See you later! As Tenchi and Sakuya go on their date, Kain had finally gathered enough power to destroy Galaxy Police Headquarters. He changed back into his other form, and began to release his power. Kain: At last, the time has come! (changes back into his other form) Now that I've gathered enough energy, I can finally get out of here! SAY GOODBYE, GALAXY POLICE! A couple of hours later, Kiyone got an urgent call from Mitsuki. Mitsuki: (comes onscreen) Kiyone, this is Mitsuki. Do you read me? Kiyone: Yeah. I read you. Go ahead. Mitsuki: The moment we all feared is finally at hand. Everyone in Galaxy Police Headquarters thinks Kain has gathered up enough power to destroy it. Kiyone: Oh my gosh! How awful! When will it happen? Mihoshi: Yeah...I'm almost too scared about all this, but...how much longer until he begins to get out? Mitsuki: Just look at your clock. There's only seconds left. Kiyone: Oh no...you're right...(sees the clock count down) According to this readout, he'll escape in 10...9... Mitsuki: 8...7...6... Mihoshi: 5...4...3...2...1...0!! As the clock counted down to zero, Commander NiArGo wondered if allowing his personnel to stay was a good idea, just as the timer ran through the final ten seconds. Commander NiArGo: Are you all sure about this? You have friends, families...homes to go to. If any of you wishes to leave, then do so immediately. I won't hold it against you. Female Officer: Sir, I feel I speak for all of us, when I say, we're proud to be Galaxy Police Officers. We can't just run from a problem, we have to face it. Male Officer: Yes. And as for my wife...I want her to be secure in the knowledge that I died on duty...instead of living in the shame of surviving a catastrophe. Commander NiArGo: Thank you. You guys are the epitome of the Galaxy Police. Now, let's hope for the best. (sees the clock count down to zero) It's time. Finally, after a week of waiting, the dark hour has come. Kain had finally gathered enough energy to escape from his prison. Will he succeed? Who can survive this encounter with him?
