Back in the Kingdom, the meeting was still underway. "Um, would those from Lemonwood Forest please keep their hands above the table where I can see them, at all times?" said Ayeka, frowning.
As Matthew and Daniel complied with Ayeka's request, Nekobus added, "And can we please get some pants for Daniel?"
K'thardin whispered into Daniel's ear, "We have a sailor fuku in the right hall closet, left over from the failed proposal for the formation of a new Kiyone club."
Daniel blinked. "A fuku?" he whispered back, "For a Kiyone club?"
"Don't ask," K'thardin mumbled. Daniel smiled and excused himself from the room. Ayeka sighed, rubbing her temples.
Jared looked at the note that Kagato had left after kidnapping Richard. "Oh, crud..." he mumbled.
"What?" asked Sasimi San.
He drew in a deep breath and began to read. "Dearest darling inhabitants of the Princess' Kingdom... Your kinsman, Richard Chilson, has been kidnapped... any attempts to rescue him are futile... I repeat, please refrain from any rescue attempts... Bwa-ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..." Jared paused for a moment then continued reading, "Bwa ha ha ha ha!" He coughed then continued, "Bwa ha ha ha ha!" then he paused for effect. "Sincerely, Kagato," then his eyes opened wide in disbelief, "...P.S. You're all invited to my lovely little orgy at my fortress, it's right by Lemonwood Forest... you can't miss it."
"An orgy!? Cooooool!" Daniel exclaimed, emerging in a blue sailor fuku while the others gagged in disbelief.
"WE ARE NOT ATTENDING AN ORGY!" Ayeka exclaimed, veins bulging on her forehead.
"Say, Keiichi," said AleeN, "Isn't the area near Lemonwood Forest under your jurisdiction? How could you let Kagato set up his fortress there?"
"My teal-tressed goddess loves me, she loves me not, she loves me..." Keiichi murmured absently, plucking the petals off a flower.
AleeN grunted and slapped his forehead.
"Hmm... I think red's more your color," Matthew whispered to Daniel, "Go change into the Sailor Mars outfit... it's in the left hall closet." Daniel nodded and left the room. Lesell Charis sighed in relief and went back to organizing a rescue party. Threatening note or no threatening note, the priestess wasn't about to let Richard remain Kagato's prisoner.
"Anyway," said K'thardin, "Where's Tsunami? Isn't she coming along?"
"No," Lesell replied, "You'd be too distracted if she came with us."
"I don't see where people get the idea that I would hit on that absolutely adorable, beautiful, and sexy Tree-Goddess Tsunami-chan if I ever got the opportunity." K'thardin protested.
"Riiiight," said AleeN, rolling his eyes, "Well, you can forget it. Tsunami's not coming, but I am."
"So am I," said Literary Eagle, "I don't know where Kagato came from or why this is happening, but I can't stay here."
"Hey, why are you so clueless?" asked K'thardin, "Aren't you supposed to be a prophetess?"
"Hey, you see the fishing pole?" Literary Eagle demanded, "You see the bucket of worms? I gave up the prophetess gig to catch fish for a living! Oh ... fine!" She ripped the line off her fishing pole, turning it back into her old oak staff. "There," she said, "You happy now, old man?"
"I AM NOT OLD!" K'thardin exclaimed. "Say," he added, smiling, "Don't you want to put on your combat outfit? You can change in the left hall closet." Literary Eagle nodded and left the room.
"Um," said AleeN, "Isn't that where Daniel is changing?" K'thardin grinned and nodded.
"And just what do you think Eagle will do when she opens the door and ends up seeing Daniel stripping?" asked Jaf.
His question was answered a moment later when Literary Eagle, shrieking at the top of her lungs, charged back into the room and knocked K'thardin upside the head with a hyperspatial mallet.
"Oh well, it was worth it," K'thardin mumbled. He waved a hand over the bump on his head, causing the injury to vanish.
After several more minutes of organization, Lesell, K'thardin, AleeN, Literary Eagle, Amuro, Adidas, and Ranma were just about ready to depart. "Hey, wait!" exclaimed Weepinbell, the newest member of the Kingdom.
Weepinbell held out his hand, displaying a red and white ball with a button on it. "Take this," he said to Lesell, "It'll help you."
"What is it?" asked Lesell, taking the ball from him. Her finger slipped over the button, causing the ball to become larger in size. It opened, and a flying red and green blob with tentacles emerged. The creature floated in the air, gazing at the rescue party. After a few moments, he said his name: "Metroid!".
"We got booted off the Anipike ... for this?" AleeN groaned.
