Hiya folks! Lita Eagle here, with this month’s AFC newsletter! Well, it’s summer, and what better way to celebrate summer than with a Juraian Summer Festival? That’s right, the Ayeka Fan Club is celebrating Startica!

Lesell: Um... but Lita, it’s only summer on your side of the globe! It’s not summer where I live!

Lita: Oops. Er... um... Well, I’m the club’s president, so what I say goes! Mwa ha ha ha!!!

Lesell: [grumbling] Great, now she’s gone mad with power... It’s not fair, *I* wanted to be the one to take over the world!

Lita: Anyway, to start off the celebrations, the celebrity guest for this newsletter is the soul-eating little demoness Yuzuha!

[Yuzuha appears]

Yuzuha: Finally, my chance to shine! You know, when AIC and Pioneer cast me as a Tenchi villain, they said they were going to make me a star! Instead, they killed off my character after just one movie! But now, I’ll show them... I’m going to make sure all the members of the Ayeka Fan Club witness my power!

Lita: Oh? How are you going to do that?

Yuzuha: By turning the club’s president into a crystal and then eating her.

Lita: Ah, I see, by turning the club’s president into a... WHAT?! HEY, WAIT A MINUTE!

[Energy beams shoot out of Yuzuha’s eyes and vaporize Lita, leaving only a small red crystal behind.]

Yuzuha: [grabbing the crystal] Mmm... looks delicious... [swallows]

Lesell: [whispering to the audience] Don’t worry, I’ll give Yuzuha some prune juice and then when the crystal comes out I’ll make her change the crystal back into Lita... ehn, after the newsletter. First I’ll give our president some time to think about her poor choice in celebrity guests while she tours Yuzuha’s digestive tract. ^_-

Yuzuha: Hey, what are you whispering about?

Lesell: Um... nothing! Let’s hear it for Yuzuha, everybody! Yay! ::applauds:: And now, time for this month’s announcements...

First off, like it said at the beginning of this newsletter, the Ayeka Fan Club is celebrating Startica! (For those unfamiliar with the Tenchi movie “Manatsu no Eve”/“The Daughter of Darkness”, Startica is the Juraian version of Christmas, and it’s celebrated in the summer.) AFC member Seion has put together a special webpage version of the fan fic “A Startica Song”, beautifully custom-made for the club! Also, noted fan fic writer Long T. Tran (author of “Ryoko’s Love”), has written a special foreword for this version of the fic! Many thanks to Seion and Long T. Tran for this lovely Startica gift! Here’s the link:   A Startica Song.

Our second announcement is that we have lots of new pictures in the AFC site’s Ayeka Fan Art Gallery! Special thanks go to K’thardin (host of “A Tenchi Muyo Fan Art Page”) and all the artists who let us post their wonderful artwork! Please send the artists feedback if you have the time. Also, if you’d like to contribute your own Ayeka fan art, then don’t be shy! But please, nothing way too hentai, because some of our members are minors. (Hentai fan art should be submitted to K’thardin instead, heh.) Also, we won’t accept character bashing, like a pic of Ayeka ripping Ryoko’s head off or something mean like that. By the way, if you know someone who has done some Ayeka fan art, please either send us the URL or have that person drop us a line. Thanks!
