Greetings from Ayeka Fan Club president Lita Eagle and vice president Lesell Charis! Welcome to this month’s edition of the AFC newsletter!

Today (October 20th) we have something very special to celebrate: This is the club’s second anniversary! In 1998, the AFC was founded by two wild and crazy guys called Jaf and Jared (the club’s first president and first webmaster, respectively). Today the club is doing better than ever, with approximately 600 members and over 30,000 hits to the site! Many thanks to Jaf and Jared for creating this wonderful organization of Ayeka fandom and mayhem! We couldn’t have done it without you. By the way, check out the new pic we have on the AFC site’s entrance page for the anniversary! And while you’re at the site, why not share some of your favorite AFC memories on the message board? We’re certain that longtime members especially might have some good stories to tell. ^_~~

Moving on, we’ve got some good news for the many members who asked us to add more pictures to the Gallery on the AFC site. We’ve created a new Scans section in the Gallery, with lots of nice artbook and cel pictures! Be sure to check it out! Also, we recently got a bunch of great new pictures, so we’ll be putting them up soon. Yay!

But wait, that’s not the only new treat on the site! In the Downloads section, we have a nice new Ayeka Winamp skin made by JoKerBird. Many thanks to JoKerBird for this lovely donation!

We also have a new addition to the AFC’s staff. Nathan is now the Assistant Story Coordinator, so he’ll be helping Jaf to edit the ongoing story in the Members section of our site. Thanks Nathan! Nathan can be reached at Achariyth@aol.com, if you need to ask him something about the story. By the way, the e-mail addresses of all the AFC staff members will be provided at the end of this newsletter. The list of addresses will help you figure out which of us to contact for certain things about the club.

Speaking of the staff, MarvelBoy (our Contest Coordinator) wants to remind you all about the T-shirt contest! If you still want to submit a picture or slogan for the AFC’s official T-shirt, then please hurry, because the contest deadline is October 31st! Also, please keep in mind that submissions or questions about the contest should be sent to MarvelBoy, not the president or vice president. Since MarvelBoy is running the contest, it’s faster if you send contest-related stuff to him. His e-mail address for the contest is marvelboy_afc_t_shirts@hotmail.com

And now, it’s time for this month’s fan fic! For those who are new to the club and don’t know this yet: in every newsletter we link to a Tenchi Muyo fan fic that was written by an AFC member. Don’t worry, we won’t link to your story in a newsletter unless we get your permission first. This time, it’s "The Dark Energy Trilogy", by Evil Pii! It’s a crossover between the Tenchi Universe series and the science-fiction/comedy movie "Men in Black". You can find the story, and lots of other stuff, on his very own site, located at http://evilpii.dorm4.org// The fan fic is not quite finished yet, but his site contains other writings too, such as companion pieces to that story. He’s dabbled in script, prose, and poetry format. In addition, the site contains lots of illustrations (many of which were made by AFC members), a cool Winamp skin for the story, and a Tenchi Muyo desktop theme. So please try to check out Evil Pii’s site when you have the time, you never know what you might find. ^_~
