Newsletter #7

Hiya folks! I know it’s a little late for Valentines Day, but wouldn’t it be better if everyday was Valentines Day? That’s why I’m giving to you this special Valentines Day Newsletter. And with me today, is none other than Cupid, the regular Love Angel.

J: So, Cupe. Can I call you Cupe?

C: Sure man.

J: So, how did you first enter into the Love business, Cupe?

C: Well, I guess it all goes back to my childhood, which was roughly six or seven thousand years ago, at the dawning of mankind. You remember those days, right Jaf?

J: Not very clearly, no.

C: Oh, well it was the time of the Greek Gods, you know, Zeus, Hades, all those guys?

J: Oh yeh. I follow ya.

C: Anyway, I was the son of Aphrodite, the goddess of Love. Strange thing, though, I really didn’t feel all that loved.

J: Really?

C: Yeh. You see Aphrodite was the daughter of the sea, and she was spawned from the foam of the Sea. So she really didn’t know much about that parenting stuff.

J: I was under the impression that she was the daughter of Zeus and Hera.

C: Well, the whole story is that Zeus and Hera made love in the ocean, and Zeus, well, kinda missed his shot and incidently made the sea foam.

J: That’s disgusting!!!

C: Yeh. That’s why you don’t hear that version so much. Well, anyway, I kinda grew up around Aphrodite, who was really just the huge whore, you know? She was never around, and she was always screwing somebody like Apollo or somethin.

J: Her own brother?

C: There was a lot of that goin around up on Mount Olympus. Anyway, there I was, ignored most the time by my mother-

J: Who was your father?

C: I don’t know. Probably that freak Apollo. He was always porkin something. Anyway, I just got into the love business at first kinda for fun, but then I kept getting better at it, so I decided to stick with it.

J: Fascinating.

Well, there you have it. Cupid’s life story. You may have noticed that there wasn’t much news in all of that. That’s because there really isn’t that much news at all. We need more suggestions from you all.

Actually, one piece of news to report is that Jared and I have been working on getting up pictures of the Ayeka voice actors (Japanese and American) to put up in the Gallery section, so it should be up there soon.

This letter’s fanfiction is from Lesell Claris, and it’s called “Always Be True to Your Heart.” I haven’t read it as of yet, but I will, and I hope you all will too. I hear it’s pretty good. Always Be True to Your Heart at GenSao’s Tenchi Muyo Fan Fiction Archive. As always, it’s also attached for easy and quick downloading.

And, as always, we need suggestions for the site from you people.

’Til next time, peace out,

Jaf.
